Southside Ball Association is a non-profit, community-based youth sports program at Avondale Park Fields in Birmingham, Alabama. Since 1953, our organization has offered sports played on a diamond field to our community's youth in a diverse environment unique to the Central Alabama Region. We play all our tee-ball and baseball games at Avondale Park, in the heart of Birmingham and the middle of the thriving Avondale Community.

Southside Ball exists to train boys and girls from all over the Birmingham area to develop character, discipline, resiliency, and sportsmanship by playing excellent baseball. Every player at every level participates in every game, and no one is turned away due to a lack of funds or resources. 

Southside Ball depends on the support of its sponsors and donors! In addition to the expenses of maintaining our facilities, each year, we provide about $30,000 worth of scholarships for players with financial needs. By becoming a Southside Ball sponsor, you and your organization have an opportunity to transform lives by making sure that everyone has access to a program that teaches life skills through baseball.
